When you turn 65 you must register with Medicare whether you need it or not.
You can lose benefits and be penalized if you do not register at Medicare.gov when you turn 65. If you have health coverage with your current employer you must notify Medicare so they do not charge you for Part B. It’s possible Medicare may cover more and cost less than your current coverage. Medicare may be your best option.
